The CATA Governmental Affairs Committee is a nonpartisan group works to be the voice of that athletic training profession in California, seeking goals such as improved youth safety guidelines, regulation for the profession, better overall working conditions, fair access to healthcare, and the right to practice for all athletic trainers across the state.

Governmental Affairs Committee Objective:

• Work with legislators to create legislation that supports the athletic training profession

• Find legislation that affects access to healthcare for active Californians and determine if it needs our support or opposition
