NBC 7 San Diego: Study Highlights Lack of Qualified Athletic Trainers in California Schools

A new study conducted by San Diego State University’s Assistant Professor and Certified Athletic Trainer, Dr. Eric Post, Ph.D., and published in the Journal of Athletic Training found that out of 1,270 California high schools surveyed, more than half (55%) either didn’t have an athletic trainer on staff or had an unqualified person filling that position.
