KCRA: 5 things to know about California’s athletic trainer license bill

AB 1665, authored by Assemblymember Rob Bonta, would require licensure for athletic trainers. California is the only state that doesn’t require athletic trainer licensure, exposing student athletes and active employees to potential injury, disability, or even death, if the athletic trainer treating or diagnosing a patient is unqualified to do so.
