UCSF Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Conference: The Acutely Injured Athlete

UCSF Logo

UCSF SPORTS MEDICINE is proud to present the seventh installment of its Annual Sports Medicine Conference on June 14, 2014

This sports medicine conference provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a group of topics that will provide you with practical resources to add to your daily clinical skills.  Conference faculty is comprised of a diverse group of sports medicine professionals, each of whom excels in their individual discipline.

This year’s theme “The Acutely Injured Athlete” will focus on musculoskeletal problems that require urgent referral for physician evaluation. As certified athletic trainers you are on the front lines of orthopaedic care. This course will help you identify red flag athletic injuries in both pediatric and adult athletes.

At the conclusion of this course you will be able to:

- Identify red flag diagnoses in a patient with an acute knee, shoulder, hand, elbow, or hip injury.

- Design a return to running plan for an injured runner.

- Perform a complete examination of the knee.

- Perform a complete examination of the shoulder.

We offer the opportunity to register for the conference through online, mail, or fax options. Please visit the UCSF Continuing Education Website for online registration.
